Scholarship Overview

Our scholarship program provides comprehensive financial support to exceptional Sudanese medical students, enabling them to focus on their education and clinical training without the burden of financial stress.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements

  • Citizenship

    Must be a Sudanese citizen

  • Academic Program

    Must be admitted to or currently enrolled in a medical program at a Sudanese public university

  • Academic Standing

    Must have strong academic credentials from high school and maintain good academic standing if currently enrolled (minimum GPA of 3.6 for renewal)

  • Financial Need

    Must demonstrate financial need that would otherwise prevent or hinder pursuit of medical education

  • Commitment

    Must demonstrate genuine commitment to becoming a physician and serving communities in Sudan

  • Character

    Must exhibit strong moral character, integrity, and dedication to the values of medical practice

Selection Process

Our comprehensive review ensures we identify the most deserving candidates

  1. Application Review

    Our selection committee thoroughly reviews all submitted applications, verifying eligibility and assessing academic credentials, financial need, and commitment to medicine.

  2. Holistic Evaluation

    We consider the complete applicant profile including academic achievements, personal statement, letters of recommendation, extracurricular activities, and demonstrated commitment to serving communities.

  3. Interviews (if required)

    Selected finalists may be invited for interviews to discuss their goals, motivations, and commitment to medical education and service.

  4. Final Selection

    The selection committee makes final decisions based on merit, need, and potential for impact. All applicants are notified of the decision.

Scholarship Renewal

Recipients may renew their scholarship for subsequent years by meeting these requirements

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Remain in good academic standing with the university
  • Continue enrollment in the medical program at a Sudanese public university
  • Submit renewal application and updated transcripts by the deadline
  • Demonstrate continued financial need
  • Participate in foundation activities and provide updates on academic progress
