Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to common questions
When can I apply?
For incoming students, applications open once the secondary school certificate results are announced and remain open throughout their first semester at university. Students already in later years of study may apply at the beginning of each new semester or academic year.
Can I apply if I'm already enrolled in medical school?
Yes! We accept applications from both incoming first-year students and current medical students at Sudanese public universities. Current students must maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher to be eligible.
How are scholarship recipients selected?
Recipients are selected through a comprehensive review process that considers academic merit, financial need, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and demonstrated commitment to serving communities in Sudan.
Is the scholarship renewable?
Yes, the scholarship is renewable annually for up to 5–6 years (the typical length of a medical program) provided recipients maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher and continue to demonstrate financial need.
How can I donate to the foundation?
We accept donations through GoFundMe, direct bank transfer (Wire, Zelle, Wise, Revolut), and Bankak for donors in Sudan. Visit our Donate page for detailed information on each method.
